"Our ultimate goal should be to create a stable and secure environment." Tigran Avinyan

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan sent a congratulatory message on Victory and Peace Day.

"Today, we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism as a symbol of the protection of universal human values. The Armenian people played a decisive role in that struggle: more than half a million Armenians participated in the war, of which about 300 thousand died in the disaster.

Since the start of the war, Yerevan, along with other cities of the USSR, has been engaged in the difficult task of forging victory. They provide communication equipment, ammunition, radio equipment, medical supplies, etc., for the needs of the front. Hundreds of Armenian children have been awarded the highest titles of the USSR.

Today, the world faces serious challenges where vigilance and resilience accompany small states. Our ultimate goal should be to create a stable and secure environment where war is replaced by mutual respect, tolerance, and security.

The mayor's message reads, "We bow to the memory of the heroes and reaffirm our commitment to building a peaceful future. "
