Ukraine can count on the “unwavering solidarity” of Europeans in the peace process, with European leaders welcoming US President Donald Trump’s peacemaking efforts, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said.
“Ukraine can count on our unwavering solidarity in our efforts to achieve peace that will safeguard the vital security interests of Ukraine and Europe,” the chancellor wrote on his X social media page.
European leaders welcomed Trump’s efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine and “achieve a just and lasting peace,” he added.
