Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Downing Street today, August 14, Sky News reported.
It is not yet known what exactly they will discuss at the meeting. Still, it will take place a day before the summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, where they will talk about a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Sky News recalled that on August 13, Zelensky, Starmer, and other European leaders had a telephone conversation with the US president, during which it was agreed that no decision on Ukraine should be made without Ukraine. The first step should be to put pressure on Kiev to achieve a ceasefire.
At the same time, Sky News reported that Trump told reporters that he would not discuss the division of territories with Putin. In addition, the US leader hopes to hold a meeting between Zelensky and Putin.
