London is ready to buy weapons from the US for Ukraine

The United Kingdom is discussing with its European partners its participation in the initiative of US President Donald Trump, which involves large-scale arms purchases for Ukraine, which will be paid for by Kiev's allies in Europe. Bloomberg reported this in July.

According to the agency, the negotiations are at an early stage, but British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has already hinted at London's possible participation in the purchases.

During a press conference in London with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to sign a new agreement on cooperation between the countries, Starmer was asked whether the government would join Trump's plan.

"We are working with allies to provide opportunities," Starmer replied, adding that London is trying to make these opportunities effective.
