Syrian leader accuses Israel of dividing the country

Syrian leader Ahmad al-Sharaa has made a televised address to the Syrian people, blaming Israel for the ongoing conflict in the country. According to him, Israel wants to divide the country.

"We will not allow them to drag our people into a war that they want to start on our soil, a war whose sole purpose is to divide our homeland and nullify our efforts by plunging it into chaos and destruction. Syria is not a testing ground for foreign conspiracies and is not a place to implement foreign ambitions at the expense of the blood of our children and women," he said.

The Syrian leader also addressed the Druze people, stating that their rights and freedoms will be protected in the country.

"I also appeal to our Druze people, who are an integral part of this nation. Syria will never become a place of division, fragmentation, or discord among its people. "We assure you that protecting your rights and freedoms is one of our priorities," he emphasized.
