The telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron lasted more than two hours. This was announced during a briefing by Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov.
"The initiative was from the French side. The parties exchanged opinions in quite detail. It was a good opportunity to convey their positions to each other," Peskov said.
The presidents of Russia and France had their first telephone conversation in almost three years yesterday. Both the Kremlin and the Elysee Palace described the conversation as meaningful.
