Israel announces the killing of one of Hamas' founders

The Israeli army announced on its Telegram channel that it had killed one of the founders of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

“On Friday, during a joint operation, the IDF and Israeli security forces struck and killed terrorist Hakam Muhammad Issa al-Issa in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City,” the IDF said.

It was noted that the latter played a “significant role” in the planning and execution of the October 7 attack. According to the Israeli army, al-Issa was a senior Hamas figure and was considered one of the founders of the movement. It is noted that he headed the combat support headquarters of Hamas’s military wing.

Recall that on October 7, 2023, Israel was attacked by the Palestinian Hamas movement from the Gaza Strip, as a result of which there were many casualties in Israel.
