US President Donald Trump has written on his social media page thanking Iran for warning it about the attacks on US military bases, which allowed it to avoid casualties. The US president also called Iran's response "very weak," noting that 13 of the 14 missiles launched were intercepted, and one did not pose a threat.
"Iran officially responded to our destruction of their nuclear facilities with a very weak response, which we expected, and which we effectively repelled. Fourteen missiles were launched, 13 of which were shot down, and one was "missed" because it was traveling in a harmless direction. I am happy to report that no Americans were injured, and almost no damage was done.
I hope that the wave of hatred will not be repeated. I thank Iran for its early warning, which allowed us to avoid casualties and injuries. "Perhaps Iran can now move towards peace and harmony in the region, and I enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same," he wrote.
In another post, Trump thanked Qatar for its efforts to achieve peace in the region and added that there were no casualties among the people of Qatar either.
"Congratulations, world, it is time for peace," the US president wrote in another post.
