We will not shed tears: Israeli minister

Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat told the BBC that they would not shed a tear if the regime in Iran were to fall.

“We will not shed a single tear,” he said, referring to the possible fall of the Iranian regime, but he refused to confirm or deny whether regime change was one of Israel’s goals in this war.

Asked why one of Israel’s targets was an Iranian prison, Barkat replied: “They are attacking Israeli civilians, children, women. They are sowing terror, and as long as they continue to do so, we will strike strategic targets.”

“We know where they live. We know what they do; we know their plans. We know everything about them and will hit them with the utmost severity until they stop,” he added.
