US strikes have destroyed Iran's nuclear ambitions, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said. At the same time, Pete Hegseth insists that the US did not strike Iranian military personnel or civilians.
"The US will act quickly and decisively when its interests and partners are at risk," he said.
"Every American involved in the US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities acted without reproach. The US deployed seven B-2 bombers to strike Iran, used more than two dozen cruise missiles to strike the Iranian nuclear facility in Isfahan," the US defense secretary said, noting that any forceful response from Iran to the US strikes would be met with a response "significantly exceeding" the night raids.
