Within the framework of the agreements reached in Istanbul, Russia and Ukraine have carried out a new exchange of prisoners of war.
“A group of Russian servicemen was returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime, and a group of prisoners of war of the Ukrainian armed forces were transferred in return,” the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
“On June 19 of this year, by the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached in Istanbul on June 2 of this year, a group of Russian servicemen was returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime.”
The Russian servicemen are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance. The Russian Defense Ministry added, “All Russian servicemen will be transferred to the Russian Federation for treatment and rehabilitation in the medical facilities of the Russian Defense Ministry."
