The Director General of the Crisis Management of East Azerbaijan reported that the air defense of the Iranian Armed Forces successfully shot down an Israeli F-35 fighter jet in Tabriz, northwestern Iran.
In an interview with the IRNA news agency, Majid Farshi said that earlier, two combat drones were shot down in Tabriz.
The newspaper notes that this is the fourth F-35 fighter jet to be intercepted and destroyed by Iranian air defenses.
