Iran is ready to respond to the Israeli strike. NYT

Iran’s top military officials have already developed a plan of action in case Israel strikes its nuclear facilities, a senior Iranian official told The New York Times in response to reports that Israel could strike in the coming days.

The plan, the official said, calls for an immediate counterattack on a scale similar to that of October 2024, when Iran fired nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel, sending Israelis fleeing into shelters.

Iran has also warned that it will hold the United States accountable along with Israel if it attacks, targeting American forces in the region.
