Trump has no intention of restoring relations with Elon Musk

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that there would be “serious consequences” if businessman Elon Musk financed Democratic candidates against Republicans.

“If he does, he will have to pay the consequences,” Trump told NBC News in a phone interview but declined to say what those consequences would be. “He will have to pay dire consequences if he does,” he added.

The US president also said he had no desire to repair his relationship with Musk.

“No,” Trump said when asked if he wanted to do so. If he thought his relationship with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO was over, Trump said: “I would assume so, yes.”

Trump said he had no plans to speak to Musk anytime soon. “I’m too busy with other things,” he said, adding:

“I have no intention of talking to him.” Trump also accused Musk of “disrespecting the office of the president.” “I think that’s a terrible thing because he’s very disrespectful. You can’t disrespect the office of the president,” he added.
