Boeing, worth $400 million accepted in the US

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has officially accepted the $400 million Boeing 747, which Qatar gifted to US President Donald Trump. CNN reported on May 21, citing the Pentagon.

Sean Parnell, a spokesman for the US military, said the plane will be re-equipped to "ensure proper security before it becomes Air Force One." Current and former officials told CNN that such an upgrade could take two years and cost several times more than the cost of the plane.

At the same time, a source familiar with the matter told the channel that the deal for the plane's transfer has not yet been finalized, and negotiations between legal teams are ongoing.
