At the summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Budapest, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that they are closely following the developments in the Caucasus.
“We are happy that Azerbaijan has reached an agreement on a peace agreement with Armenia. Establishing a permanent peace between the two countries will open up many opportunities for our Turkic world. At this moment, I am sure that the victorious president, my brother Aliyev, will go down in history as a leader who brought peace to the region,” Erdogan said.
Erdogan also spoke about the Middle Corridor in this context and described it as strategic for the Turkic world.
“We attach great importance to cooperation within the organization for the success of the Middle Corridor and expect the support of member states. The tragedies that occurred in the past in Cyprus, Karabakh, Bosnia, and today in Gaza remind us that we must think beyond our borders,” the Turkish president emphasized.
