Germany plans to increase defense spending to 215 billion euros.
The German government plans to significantly increase military spending to 5% of GDP, more than 215 billion euros annually. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul announced this during a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Turkey.
Germany spends about 2% of its GDP on defense, but that figure is not always met.
