US President Donald Trump met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Riyadh, Al Arabiya reported.
Trump said he had agreed to lift all sanctions against Syria.
Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani called Trump's decision a "turning point" for the country. He added that the move paved the way for stability, self-reliance, and genuine recovery after years of war.
