Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the telephone. During the call, they discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Ukraine and regional and global developments.
President Erdogan stressed the importance of resuming direct talks between Russia and Ukraine and noted that Turkey is ready to provide the necessary support at every stage.
He also expressed Turkey’s readiness to host Russian and Ukrainian delegations for peace talks. Erdogan stressed that a comprehensive ceasefire would help create the necessary conditions for peace talks and that the window of opportunity should not be missed.
