As the German government spokesman Stefan Cornelius noted, Russia must respond to the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine by the end of the day. Otherwise, Russia will face sanctions.
“There are 12 hours until the end of the day, and if the ceasefire is not observed by then, the European side will begin preparations for sanctions,” he said.
