President Vladimir Putin, proposing direct negotiations with Kyiv, outlined the procedure for actions within the settlement's framework.
This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, to RIA Novosti.
"Putin clearly said: first, talk about the main reasons (the conflict in Ukraine - Ed.), and then we can talk about a ceasefire," she noted.
This is how Zakharova commented on the ultimatum of Vladimir Zelensky, who said that Kyiv would negotiate if Moscow agreed to a ceasefire from May 12.
