Ukrainian media reported that a three-day ceasefire declared by Russia came into effect this morning.
There was relative calm in major Ukrainian cities this morning, in contrast to the previous several nights when Russian drones and ballistic missiles were hitting various targets.
The Ukrainian Air Force said that Russian aircraft had twice dropped guided bombs in the direction of the Sumy region since the ceasefire came into effect. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
Apart from the two strikes, there were no reports of Russian missiles or drones this morning.
The morning in Kyiv was quiet, in contrast to the previous day when the city was subjected to a wave of Russian air strikes.
It was unclear whether the ceasefire was holding on the front lines, but Reuters sources said there were no sounds of fighting early this morning.
