Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping held an expanded and narrow meeting in the Kremlin.
Chinese leader Xi Jinping said China is ready to work with Russia to defend the truth about World War II's history.
"Today, in the face of the negative trend of unilateral actions and forceful dictates in the world, China is ready to shoulder special responsibilities together with Russia, as major world powers and permanent members of the UN Security Council, to duty-bound and courageously defend the truth about the history of World War II," Xi said.
