Lithuania to seal border with Russia and Belarus

Lithuania will allocate 1.1 billion euros over the next 10 years to strengthen the defense of its eastern borders. Of this, about 800 million euros are planned to be allocated to purchase and install anti-tank mines.

The Defense Ministry notes that these steps are aimed at preventing possible Russian aggression, especially in the event of a war with Ukraine.

The program also includes constructing a “Baltic defense line,” developing means of combating drones, and improving early warning systems.
