US Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
He noted that this is not their war: "This war started under Joe Biden. It's been going on for three years. They've not attempted to end it. And this is a war that has no military solution. Putin can't take all of Ukraine, and Ukraine can't push the Russians back to their 2014 borders.
The question is, who is the only leader who can talk to both of them and try to bring them together? That's President Trump. He's worked for 100 days to make peace. We've come closer. For the first time in three years, we see what it takes to stop Ukraine and what it takes to stop the Russians, but those positions are still far apart."
Referring to the US mineral deal with Ukraine, the Secretary of State said: "It's good for the US because we've invested a lot of money in this war, and it's good for Ukraine because it will help them develop their economy and rebuild the country after the war is over."
