US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has addressed the situation surrounding Iran.
"If Iran wants a peaceful civilian nuclear program, that is, nuclear power plants, there is a solution for that: they build reactors and import enriched uranium. Dozens of countries around the world are doing that. The only countries that are enriching uranium are those that have nuclear weapons. Iran claims that it does not want weapons, but it wants to be the only country that does not have nuclear weapons but enriches uranium. That is unacceptable," he said;
Rubio also added that if Iran does not want nuclear weapons, it should allow all facilities to be opened, including military ones. "The failure of the Obama nuclear deal was precisely that it was not possible to inspect military facilities, and nuclear weapons, of course, are created there," the Secretary of State said.
According to him, "Iran may have a real opportunity for economic development, but it must abandon its support for terrorists, abandon its development of missiles designed to deliver nuclear weapons and stop enriching uranium. That is the path to peace. We will seek to convince them to choose that path."
