Ukraine and the US could wait decades for profits under a mineral agreement

Reuters reports that, according to experts, the development of mines usually takes 10 to 20 years in countries with developed mining industries, such as Canada and Australia. However, due to a number of obstacles, this process can continue much longer in Ukraine.

Ukraine's energy, transport, and logistics infrastructure have suffered significant damage as a result of the war. In addition, most of the mines still lack complete geological studies that would indicate the economic feasibility of their development. Investors are also cautious, given that Ukraine is still at war.
