Washington has informed Tbilisi of the steps it expects

Washington has informed the Georgian authorities of the steps they should take to normalize relations with the United States. This is stated in a written response from the US State Department to global news.ge. However, the State Department did not specify which points were in question.

“We do not comment on closed diplomatic negotiations. The United States demonstrated what steps the Georgian government can take to prove that it is serious about improving relations with the United States,” the State Department said.

After returning to Tbilisi, Davitashvili stated that the positions of the US authorities and the “Georgian Dream” “completely coincide.”

Notably, the Trump administration has not canceled the decisions and sanctions adopted against Georgia during the Biden administration.
