Why didn't Ruben Vardanyan's family turn to Kirill with the same determination? Babajanyan

The chairman of the "For the Republic" party, Arman Babajanyan, wrote on his Facebook page:

"The appeal addressed to the US President by Ruben Vardanyan's son, in which he urges him to support the release of his father and other Armenian prisoners, undoubtedly deserves appreciation. However, a principled but straightforward question remains: why did Ruben Vardanyan's family and friends not turn with the same determination to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, who was in Baku? In the same city, Ruben Vardanyan is being held in prison.

Couldn't you have asked the patriarch, who is today awarding the Aliyevs for their "religious tolerance," to enter the Baku prison and see with his own eyes how this tolerance is manifested towards Armenian prisoners? You could have reminded him that Ruben Vardanyan is imprisoned only because he is Armenian, a Christian. You should remind us that it was the Russian state, by rewarding the Aliyev regime through the patriarch, that silently encouraged the forced displacement of the Armenians of Artsakh and paved the way for today's disastrous reality.

Tell the truth, or are you afraid to turn to Moscow? In your ideas, Russia is only there to glorify, bow down, and serve outdated geopolitical illusions. However, we must realize that such silence is not a mission but complicity in a crime. It is time to address all questions without false hesitation to those responsible for our people's tragedy."
