Mercedes introduces electric limousine equipped with karaoke bar mode (PHOTOS)

Mercedes has announced a “new era” for luxury limousines, unveiling its new Vision V electric minivan concept at the Shanghai Motor Show.

The German brand is billing the Vision V as a new benchmark for VIP travel. This luxury minivan is packed with technology and amenities often found in luxury homes.

Instead of the usual rear seats, there are just two first-class airline-style seats with roller cushions and a reclining position for maximum reclining.

The comfortable cabin is separated from the driver by a massive 65-inch TV that can be lowered into the floor, serving as a movie screen or a wall separating the passenger from the driver.

The car also has a 42-speaker sound system, seven projectors for different atmosphere modes, and rear windows that can be opaque with a single button.

There’s also a karaoke mode, where song lyrics are displayed on a massive screen on the car’s most prominent TV.

The Vision V will go into production next year. It will compete with high-end minivans like the Lexus LM and Volvo EM90.
