Macron receives PSG squad at the Elysee Palace

Emmanuel Macron welcomed PSG after winning the Champions League. Yesterday, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Munich (5:0).

The French president congratulated the Parisians on their victory.

"Paris is the capital of Europe today," he said.

The players, coaches, and the club's management visited the residence of the President of the French Republic in Paris. Macron spoke about the Parisians' historic victory: the club won the Champions League for the first time. This is the second victory of a French team in the tournament. In 1993, Marseille defeated Milan in the final (1:0), also in Munich.

"You won the Champions League. You did it magnificently, in a wonderful way. You are champions, and we are all delighted. "You did it with a united team, with attitude, with a will, with solidarity, and with ambition. You showed us the football we love. Thank you for making the dream of French youth come true," Macron said.
