On July 30, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan, who is on a working visit to New York, met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece Ioannis Loverdos.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics in the bilateral traditional friendly relations between Armenia and Greece. They emphasized the readiness to raise cooperation in areas of common interest to a new level. In this context, the importance of organizing mutual high-level visits was noted.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia presented to the interlocutor the actions taken by the Armenian Government after the adoption of the law “On the launch of the process of accession of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union”, and exchanged views on the 8th summit of the European Political Community to be held in Yerevan next year.
Vahan Kostanyan and Ioannis Loverdos also touched upon current issues on the regional and international agenda. Vahan Kostanyan presented to the interlocutor the latest developments in the process of normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
