There is not only a problem of quality, but also a problem with the quality of management. Babken Pipoyan

"On the one hand, it says that we have a quality problem; on the other hand, we have a quality product, but we have a certification problem. We have a problem in all directions. When those who understand the business start doing business, such issues will not arise. There is not only a quality problem, but also a quality of management,” Babken Pipoyan, president of the “Informed and Protected Consumer” NGO, said in an interview with Radar Armenia, referring to Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan’s statement that there is a quality product, but there is no culture of certifying quality. Pipoyan added that work needs to be done.

According to B. Pipoyan, this is a problem that should have been resolved a long time ago, especially considering Armenia’s membership in the EAEU. “We are an EAEU member state, every exported product must comply with common standards, undergo certification or declaration, depending on what procedure is established for that product,” he said, and emphasized that it is tough to comment on something that is not talked about.

According to his assessment, today, there are both high-quality and low-quality products on the Armenian market at the same time. “It is impossible to give a definite assessment, because there are both excellent quality products and poor quality, moreover, in all directions. There is good Armenian brandy and garbage bottled in Armenia, which is called Armenian brandy. We all know about it.”

He emphasized that discussing these issues is normal, and when a foreign company claims that garbage originates from your country, we consider it political.
