The wind is westerly, 2-5 m/s, during thunderstorms, and wind gusts are expected to reach 17-20 m/s. In the evenings of July 19-23, wind gusts are expected to reach 15-18 m/s in Armavir, Kotayk, and Aragatsotn foothills. The air temperature is expected to rise by 2-4 degrees on July 21-23.
In Yerevan, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in certain parts of the city during the evening hours of July 19 and 20. On July 21-23, no precipitation is expected. During evening hours and thunderstorms, wind gusts are expected to reach 15-18 m/s.
Due to the penetration of a tropical warm air wave from the south, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat Valley, Syunik Valley, and Yerevan on July 21-23. During the daytime, between 16:00 and 17:00, the temperature will be between +38 and +40 degrees. A high-level fire hazard is also expected in the mentioned areas for the next 5 days.
