NA deputies held several meetings in Washington

Sargis Khandanyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, and members of the Armenia-US Friendship Group, Arusyak Julhakyan, Maria Karapetyan, and Gegham Nazaryan, who are in Washington on a working visit, held several meetings at the US House of Representatives.

The delegation met with Representative Carol Miller of the US Congress, Representative Kim Young of the US Congressional Caucus on Armenian Affairs, Representative Robert Aderholt of the US Congress, and Representative Delia Ramirez of the US Congress.

During the meetings, the importance of the multi-sector strategic partnership signed between Armenia and the US in January of this year was emphasized, as well as the need for the continuous development and deepening of active inter-parliamentary ties.

The deputies of the National Assembly presented the details of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and Armenia's readiness to sign the peace agreement as soon as possible to the members of Congress. The possibilities of unblocking regional transport and economic routes, as well as the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" project. Both sides emphasized the need to establish stable and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
