Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi, Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Head of the Planning and Budget Organization, Co-Chairman of the RA-IRI Joint Intergovernmental Commission.
Welcoming the guest, Mher Grigoryan considered this meeting a good opportunity to exchange views on issues of mutual interest and highly appreciated the official visit of the delegation led by the Iranian President to Armenia.
During the meeting, the agenda issues of Armenia-Iran bilateral relations and regional developments were discussed. Both sides emphasized the importance of unblocking regional communications within the framework of full respect for the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, and reciprocity of countries.
Mher Grigoryan reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to develop relations with Iran, emphasizing the great potential in the trade and economic sphere. Agreements were reached to organize discussions of several key issues in the format of working groups to provide them with a more effective and constructive solution.
