On June 13, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Armenia, Muhammad Tarek Ali Al-Oraifan.
Congratulating the Ambassador on assuming the position, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia expressed hope that during the latter’s tenure, relations between Armenia and Kuwait will gain new momentum in various spheres. Ambassador Tarek Ali Al-Oraifan, in turn, thanked Alen Simonyan for the reception, assuring that he would make every effort to further develop and deepen bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the interlocutors also touched upon other topics of mutual interest, in particular, issues related to regional stability and the problem of prisoners of war in Azerbaijan, illegally held, and missing persons.
