Mirzoyan and Betel exchanged views on EU developments

On May 13, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. The meeting took place within the framework of the Council of Europe Ministerial Session.

The interlocutors discussed new initiatives to deepen the friendship and mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Xavier Bettel exchanged views on developments in the EU and the EU's neighborhood. Minister Mirzoyan presented the work being carried out to deepen the Armenia-EU partnership, emphasizing that signing the new Partnership Agenda will be an essential milestone for expanding Armenia's cooperation with the EU and its member states.

The Armenian and Luxembourg ministers also discussed international and regional developments in the current geopolitical uncertainties.

In establishing peace in the South Caucasus, Minister Mirzoyan presented efforts to normalize relations with neighbors. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized Armenia's determination to sign an agreement on peace and establish interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
