In response to a question from RFE/RL, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said there may be good news regarding the signing of a peace treaty soon.
Asked whether there are negotiations with Baku and whether they are based on Azerbaijan's preconditions, he noted, "Everything has been said; there is no information to update at this time. Just as we were ready to start consultations a moment ago, we are ready now. Unfortunately, we are hearing different statements from the Azerbaijani side. There is no progress yet, but there is talk, and as in the case of any negotiations, let's arm ourselves with patience; maybe there will be good news shortly."
