"The current world order is changing at quite a dynamic pace." Khachaturian

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, were present yesterday at the start of the annual workshop of the heads of the Republic of Armenia's diplomatic missions in foreign countries.

The President of the Republic delivered the opening speech of the workshop and wished the diplomats productive working discussions. In his remarks, the president said:

"First, I would like to thank all ambassadors, permanent representatives, and consuls general for their hard work and selfless service. Unfortunately, your service is taking place in a geopolitically complex and challenging period for the country, when Armenia and its daily diplomatic mission have embarked on diversifying its foreign policy and security architecture. Today, Armenia, our region, and the whole world are going through difficult times. The current world order is changing at a rather dynamic pace, often in an unpredictable direction. In this turbulent geopolitical environment, when we are witnessing crises that cross borders, the role of diplomacy in the urgent solution of priority problems is particularly significant because the successes recorded by diplomats and, what is more painful, the omissions, are substantial. have an impact on the state, its international image, security atmosphere.

Dear ambassadors,

One thing is clear: every day, the ambassador and the diplomatic mission must have the goal of that day, week, or month in mind. This will guarantee proactive diplomacy, the visibility of the Republic of Armenia, and, as a result, success in the diplomatic field.

I am glad that steps are being taken to expand the geography of diplomatic missions. Undoubtedly, the presence of embassies in different capitals significantly contributes to strengthening and expanding cooperation with international partners, increasing Armenia's visibility and recognition.

Dear ambassadors,

At the end of my speech, I would like to express my hope that close and mutually beneficial cooperation with your colleagues from like-minded countries on different platforms will contribute to the realization of the basic principles and goals of the Republic of Armenia's foreign policy, the reduction of global and regional threats, and the maintenance of peace and security.

I am sure that from now on, you will represent our country with honor, contributing to strengthening its reputation in the international arena."
