At the initiative of King Charles of England, the royal family's personal "royal train" will be withdrawn from service to modernize the monarchy and cut costs.
Since 1840, this train has been used to transport members of the royal family by rail; however, in recent years, it has become unprofitable due to the high costs of maintenance and upkeep.
The 1980s rolling stock requires modernization, which requires significant investment. Instead, the royal family already has two new helicopters that can perform the same function.
It is noted that a long-term permanent storage or exhibition space is being sought for the historical parts of the royal train.
