Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of the Italian Senate, Ignazio La Russa
Welcoming the President of the Republic, the President of the Senate specifically said: "It is a great honor to receive you, the relations between our countries go back centuries, which is an important condition for the development and expansion of our current ties and close cooperation in parliamentary diplomacy, economics, and cultural platforms. I am ready to direct my efforts to the continuous deepening of these relations."

During the meeting, the prospects and ways for the continuous development of parliamentary diplomacy between Armenia and Italy were discussed. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding the existing close interaction between the two countries' parliaments.

President Khachaturyan emphasized that it is essential for Yerevan and Armenia to get acquainted with the Italian experience and best traditions of preservation and restoration of historical and cultural heritage and archaeological values, within which there are vast opportunities for interaction.
